Koch Media’s international/GSA games marketing team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior International Marketing Manager to support our partners and own IP business. A self-starter who meets deadlines independently and with a high degree of responsibility and who is able to persuade and influence others, with a track record of driving results. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams company-wide ensure our games have strategic marketing plans, are commercially viable, achieve P&L goals, and are successfully brought to market and managed throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an international fast-paced environment and have proven experience planning, producing and executing large marketing campaigns across big cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor entry-level members of the marketing team, giving advice in promotional execution against brand and marketing vision, building strategy and driving personal growth
  • Proactively resolve business issues with partners on a strategical and operative level
  • Role is focussed but not limited to three major areas of duties:

 I) Brand building & activation

  • Define product positioning as well as monitor competitive activity and identify consumer needs with help of market research data
  • Develop and present brand & marketing strategies, advertising, promotional & communications programs to drive core KPIs and related positioning of selected products
  • Consult with teams of i.e. product development, legal, Media and PR in strategic planning and analysis, creative execution and media planning
  • Build and manage global marketing budget(s) in coordination with Commercial goals
  • Ensure the overall brand and marketing vision and strategy is maintained globally, and that global goals are met

 II) International Marketing strategy & alignment

  • Serve as POC for selected partners & manage their portfolio on an international scope
  • Be the primary marketing contact and advocate with internal publishing groups and partners to identify and assess potential opportunities to expand products sales & lifecycle
  • Represent, extend, communicate and oversee product brand and marketing strategies at all times and ensure local campaigns are executed as globally designed
  • Work alongside with our local marketing teams to understand and support on local campaign requirements including related approvals in line with the partner where necessary
  • Collaborate with the partner and/or Creative Services to create, adapt and deliver timely assets and creatives to the local markets

III) Germany, Swiss, Austria campaign planning & execution

  • Campaign strategy, planning and execution from conception to launch for selective products
  • Creative adaption & delivery of marketing assets across all relevant paid media channels
  • Negotiate with local media houses and agencies to buy ATL and BTL media
  • POC for specific local marketing partnerships and integration
  • Project manage specific brand and/or marketing initiatives on a case-by-case basis
  • Partner with our Sales team to plan and support local product Trade marketing initiatives
  • Post campaign analysis and reporting

Minimum Requirements

  • A passion for video games
  • Requires a BA in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a gaming-related brand and/or marketing role required
  • In-depth knowledge in brand and/or product marketing within a games publisher or gaming related media and/or creative agency preferred
  • Experience managing own marketing budgets and related brand and marketing goals
  • Ability to build and market brands, create product positioning, set campaign goals and align objectives with conflicting deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Must be articulate and professional and the ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management in a high pressure environment, both internally and externally
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills required
  • Fluent level of German and English is required (written and verbal)
  • The ability to clarify and summarize complex issues in a fast-paced environment on a global level with multiple countries

Further qualifications would be a plus

  • Additional language is a plus
  • Experience in international multi-territory campaign management
  • Experience in partnering with game developers or studios
  • Technical knowledge of console and PCs a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel, both national and international
